I think I have mentioned my son's obsession with Buzz Lightyear. Well he has kicked it up a notch. Now when he is asked by strangers what his name is he says "Buzz Lightyear". If I forget and introduce him as Sam he gets mad. Just interacting with him throughout the day we have to call him Buzz. His primary teachers have started signing his pictures Buzz Lightyear.
We went to Snowbird this past week with Rob's family for a little vacation. Patty is a queen of Grandmas and has at least one craft planned for every day of a vacation. The first day the kids painted shirts. I helped Sam with his and this is what we came up with.
A rocket. The bottom says Buzz. anyway now he won't take it off. He got it a little wet while using the bathroom and I had to peel it off of him kicking and screaming to wash it. He refused to get dressed for at least 30 minutes. he just sat in the bathroom naked. He has worn it everyday since and slept in it every night.
I wonder what the record is for shirt wearing. If there is one I bet Buzz can beat it.

Not only is that shirt adorable on him now, but I bet way in the future when he's old enough to have forgotten his Buzz obsession, it's going to be cool for you to pull it out and tell him about it.
It totally makes me laugh that he won't take it off. Kids have such strong wills! Good luck!

I think I'd be buying some more t-shirts and painting rockets on them. Then they won't wear out so fast, and he can have more than one shirt to wear.
THere probably is some record somewhere of the number of days a shirt was worn. Lets just hope it was a kid, and not a smelly adult.
