My darling daughter has been obsessed with spiders lately. I thought she had a spider bite and as the sore got really gross and I caught what looked like a Hobo spider in my bathtub she began to talk about spiders all the time. She is ok. What looked like a Hobo spider was a close relative and her bite was actually a staff infection. But her obsession continues. A couple of days ago I found a note on my pillow. It said the names of a whole bunch of spiders and then said that the black widow spider bite is dangerous to humans and that a red kneed tarantula has a powerful bite but is not harmful to humans. I showed it to Rob. While I was running in the morning he asked Holly about it and she said she put it on my pillow to freak me out. Only 6 and the pranks are already starting.

Ha ha ha!! That's great! You should be happy though--the notes I get on my pillow say that I'm ruining her life...
I'm glad it wasn't a spider bite but is the infection getting better?
Who is that huge child on Holly's lap? Surely not the tiny newborn I saw once...
My children, and friends, rejoice in giving me the creeps about spiders. They gave me a Lego box set that makes a spider, over a year ago. It still isn't open.
Richard has a Transformer named "Arachnia" and my boys chased me around the house with her for an evening.
In the MTC my friends sent me a Halloween "Care" package that included a 8 inch gummy spider/tarantula. As much as I love gummy candy, I couldn't eat it and gave it to my roomies.
Before I could move to the desert I had to do some research on Tarantulas, black widows, and rattlesnakes. Part of the reason I love that we bought Tract housing is because they scared away a good portion of the native wildlife. I also learned that as terrifying as Tarantula's are (my skin is crawling,now).. they are pretty tame and mild. Now, black widows on the other hand. We deal with those a lot. We've sprayed a few times and I noticed a conspicious web the other day. It may be time to pay for exterminators again.
I am sorry your daughter is antagonizing you. But it is kinda funny if you are not the recipient.
